You may not be aware, but there has been a global issue for the past year with automated attacks on Wordpress based sites. We have seen our server management workload increase tenfold due to attacks on Wordpress sites with people trying to gain unauthorised access to them and this poses an ever increasing cost for us to mitigate against this.

We have therefore today implemented some additional security measures on our servers which will place restrictions on failed Wordpress site login attempts. Should you be using Wordpress on your site and experience any issues, please open a support ticket so that we can check this for you. We do not however expect any customers logging into their sites correctly to be affected by this enhancement.

If you are affected by this, you will be fiven a "ModSecurity Restriction Triggered - Contact Support"" error message when trying to log into the account.

We are more than happy to to override this where needed, howwver this is subject to password protection being in place on your Wordpress site to protect the wp-login.php page from being abused. Please see the following page for further details on this: http://codex.wordpress.org/Brute_Force_Attacks#Password_Protect_wp-login.php - we are also happy to asssit you with this where needed.
